Churches Together in Grantham and District succeeded the former Grantham Council of Churches and Grantham Free church Federal Council. Nearly all of the local churches are members. There is also a thriving Ministers Together group which meets regularly.

Mission Statement

We believe that our primary task is the goal of bringing Christians of every church tradition into a unity of fellowship in Christ in order to proclaim the gospel more effectively by:

  • supporting Christian outreach in the community
  • promoting united acts of worship, study and fellowship thus providing a focus of mutual support
  • initiating common action and co-operating with other agencies for the well being of the community
  • promoting links with Churches Together regionally and nationally

Ecumenical Events

A pattern of of annual ecumenical events has been established in the town including:

  • "Week of Prayer for Christian Unity" evening service (January)
  • Good Friday march of witness
  • Easter Day dawn communion in Wyndham Park
  • United service at Pentecost (May/June)
  • One World Week Service (November)

  • Grantham Foodbank
  • Grantham Schools Ministry and we welcome Jenny Fytche as our new schools worker.
